Completely self-taught in photography, it's been more than ten years that I walk with a camera around my neck or in my back pack. I think the first time I wanted to make "pretty" pictures, was around 13, as I had no right to touch the camera family it was quite diffiicult, but later, it became mine only and it was my first real film based material: a Canon AF 35M.

But silver based photography is expensive, and I didn't have much. So, very soon I chose to switch to digital, even if it was quite expensive at that time to buy one, I saw the interest in the fact that I could preview the pictures and see the result "now". No more questions like "Was my picture ok?" or "Will I have the desired result?".

This first digital camera was perhaps not the best technical choice, but it served me well, a 3 megapixel HP photosmart. Then for my first trip to Japan, I invested into a Konica Digital Revio KD 510 Z, 5 megapixels, and I was not disappointed, it was my first real photos, those that I began to be proud.

Some appear on this site. But obviously, there is nothing like the gift  I received, a Canon EOS 30D in l2006 that allows me to achieve results that a compact camera does not permit me to obtain.

Of course, "Cassandre" is a nickname, which I took a while ago when I started to put my pictures online via my blog, and which I kept, a bit "like that" and because it sounds better than Anouk, I must agree !

Taking pictures, looking at the result, sorting, put in some form (one crop there, a few corrections here if I find that I have dirt on the picture, a bit of saturation maybe, from time to time) and finally sharing the result.

That's where my pleasure is. If I come to make you feel an emotion, even if it is not the same as I felt, then the bet is won. I hit my goal. I do not ask for more.

 A picture is for me the expression that was at a time, at a place, through my lens. I print what I want to show, and at the same time, the reading of it may be different from one person to another.
